Researchers at University College London found what they believe is evidence that laughter truly is contagious. When people hear the sound of laughter, it stimulates the portion of the brain that is also active when we smile, priming the listeners’ facial muscles to start smiling or laughing on their own. The researchers suggest that by preparing listeners to also smile or laugh, the brain is helping us nurture closer relationships and build bonds between people. =============================================================== 2.
