It's a Wacky, Wacky World ======================================================= 1. What's Your Humor Profile? According to Dr. Rod Martin from the University of Western Ontario, there are four main types of humor that people practice: social and coping humor are positive styles of humor, while self-defeating and sarcastic humor are negative. Naturally, the key to a healthier and less stressful work life is to make sure the style of humor you practice is positive - humor that connects with other people, breaks down walls between groups and humor that helps people deal with the challenges of their day to day stressors. ======================================================== 2. Mike's Fun at Work Tip There is a bus driver in Hawaii famous for handing out Hawaiian leis to customers that need a little cheering up. What a great, simple idea: Find something inexpensive and fun that you can keep close at hand to dispense to co-workers or customers to help make their day. ======================================================== 3. Quote of the Week "All generalizations are false!" ========================================================= 4. It's a Wacky, Wacky World A pair of Michigan robbers enter a record store. Whipping out a gun, one of the robber yells out, "Nobody move!" When his partner moved, the startled robber shot him. Happy Hump Day one and all! Keep laughing. ========================================================= Copyright Michael Kerr, 2005 mailto:mike@mikekerr.com Reach Michael at 1-866-609-2640 or surf him up at http://www.MikeKerr.com.
