The Hump Day Humor-Gram, June 15, 2005, Issue Number 137 In this issue . . . 1. In Search of the Elusive Hypo 2. Mike's Fun at Work Tip 3. Quote of the Week 4. It's a Wacky, Wacky World ======================================================= 1. In Search of the Elusive Hypo First, let me say thanks to all the eagle eyes out there who spotted the typo (Globe and MALE newspaper) in last week's edition, which I of course planted to see if you were all awake. Evidently, many of you are. Accidental typos are a great source of humor, such as the prominent Canadian magazine which recently referred to someone as one of the top ten sexist men in Canada. Or the menu I once saw that offered up a serving of Spit Pea Soup. So, I say let us be thankful for those little sips of the tongue that give us just one more reason to laugh. (And if you have classics from your office you'd like to share, then please pass them along!) =========================================================== 2. Mike's Fun at Work Tip This week's tip comes from my buddy Ted Schredd at www.discoverfun.com/kidnapped, who is starting up a kidnapping service, courtesy of the "Fun Police," wherein deserving folks are kidnapped from the their office and forced to have a day of fun. So why not take the law into your own hands, and start up your own vigilante fun squad, and rescue an overworked, overstressed or otherwise deserving client, employee, boss, family member or entire team, and give them a much-needed injection of fun! ======================================================== 3. Quote of the Week "The number one premise of business is that it need not be boring or dull. It ought to be fun. If it's not fun, you're wasting your life." Tom Peters ========================================================= 4. It's a Wacky, Wacky World I hope no one works in an office like the office in Massachusetts that prompted this headline: Woman Fined for Not Giving 30-Day Notice Before Dying. Happy Hump Day one and all! ========================================================= Copyright Michael Kerr, 2005 mailto:mike@mikekerr.com Reach Michael at 1-866-609-2640 or surf him up at http://www.MikeKerr.com.
