It's a Wacky, Wacky World ======================================================= 1. Fighting the Sunday Night Blahs According to a recent article in the Globe and Male newspaper, many folks suffer from Sunday night blahs, just as we all did back in school. And not just people that aren't enjoying their work - it seems that just the "thought of work" can even impact people who really like their jobs. So to help fight the Sunday blues, some people have started special Sunday night fun rituals to help them look forward to Sunday night, rather than dreading it as the end of the weekend. From making Sunday nights "comedy movie night" or taking dance lessons or going bowling, people have successfully eliminated their Sunday night blahs, and helped put them in a better frame of mind come Monday morning. =========================================================== 2. Mike's Fun at Work Tip Bring some candies or treats to work. According to a survey by Lifesavers, people who have candies on their desk are more likely to get a raise or a bonus! Candies also serve as an icebreaker, and, according to the survey, 1/3 of all candy-munchers gossip while sucking on the candy (so if you like gossip...), while male workers who have candies on their desk are more likely to get asked out on a date! ======================================================== 3. Quote of the Week "When we admit our schnozzles instead of defending them, we begin to laugh and the world laughs with us." Jimmy Durante ========================================================= 4. It's a Wacky, Wacky World According to a survey in Parenting Magazine, 67% of respondents believe their mothers could run their company better than their current bosses. (That either says heaps about our Moms or heaps about our bosses...) ========================================================= Copyright Michael Kerr, 2005 mailto:mike@mikekerr.com Reach Michael at 1-866-609-2640 or surf him up at http://www.MikeKerr.com.
